A. J. Hawk, born on January 6, 1984, in Kettering, Ohio, is a former professional American football linebacker who played in the National Football League (NFL). He gained prominence during his collegiate career at Ohio State University, where he was recognized as a consensus All-American and won the prestigious Butkus Award in 2005, which honors the best linebacker in college football.
Hawk was selected fifth overall in the 2006 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers, where he enjoyed a successful tenure from 2006 to 2014.
