Aaqib Javed, born on August 5, 1972, in Faisalabad, Pakistan, is a former cricketer who played as a right-arm fast-medium bowler. He made his debut for the Pakistan national team in 1990 and became known for his pace and ability to swing the ball. Javed was part of the Pakistan squad that won the 1992 Cricket World Cup, contributing significantly to the team's success during the tournament.
Throughout his international career, which spanned from 1990 to 1999, Javed played in 22 Test matches, claiming 75 wickets at an average of 34.35. He also featured in 163 One Day Internationals (ODIs), amassing 138 wickets, which included several memorable performances in critical matches. Javed was particularly noted for his role in the 1996 Cricket World Cup, where he delivered impactful bowling performances.
