Aaron Pettrey, born on June 17, 1986, in Portsmouth, Ohio, is a former professional American football placekicker. He played college football at Ohio State University, where he gained recognition for his strong leg and accurate kicking. Pettrey's collegiate performance helped lead the Buckeyes to multiple bowl games, including the 2009 BCS National Championship Game.
In 2010, Pettrey was selected by the New York Jets in the NFL Draft, but his professional career began when he signed with the Cincinnati Bengals later that same year.
