Biography
Ab DeMarco (May 10, 1916 – December 19, 1997) was a Canadian ice hockey player known for his exceptional skills as a defenseman during the mid-20th century. Born in North Bay, Ontario, he made a significant impact in the National Hockey League (NHL) after being signed by the New York Rangers in 1941. DeMarco played the majority of his career with the Rangers and later suited up for the Chicago Black Hawks and the Boston Bruins.
Throughout his career, DeMarco was recognized for his offensive prowess and defensive acumen. He achieved notable success in the 1949-50 NHL season, where he recorded 44 points, setting a record for defensemen at the time.
