Biography
Abigail Schauer is a professional ice hockey player known for her exceptional skills as a forward. Born on March 15, 1998, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Schauer began her ice hockey career at a young age, quickly establishing herself as a standout athlete in regional competitions. She played for the prestigious Minnesota-based youth programs and later joined the collegiate ice hockey scene as a member of the University of Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs.
During her collegiate career from 2016 to 2020, Schauer amassed an impressive record, contributing significantly to her team's success in the NCAA. Known for her scoring ability and strong defensive skills, she helped lead the Bulldogs to two Frozen Four appearances and was named to the All-WCHA First Team in her final year. Schauer's performance earned her recognition as one of the top players in women's college hockey, culminating in being selected in the 2020 NWHL Draft.
After college, Schauer transitioned to professional ice hockey, signing with the Metropolitan Riveters in the National Women's Hockey League (NWHL) in 2021.
