Biography
Adam Ružička, born on May 11, 1999, in Nitra, Slovakia, is a professional ice hockey forward known for his scoring ability and playmaking skills. He began his career in youth hockey with HC Nitra before moving to North America to pursue his aspirations in the sport. Ružička was drafted in the fourth round, 109th overall, by the Calgary Flames in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.
Ružička played junior hockey for the Sarnia Sting in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), where he showcased his offensive talent, leading the team in scoring during the 2018-2019 season. He made his professional debut with the Flames' AHL affiliate, the Stockton Heat, in the 2019-2020 season, quickly establishing himself as a key player with significant contributions on the scoreboard. His performances in the AHL earned him a call-up to the NHL, where he made his first appearance for the Flames during the 2020-2021 season.
Internationally, Ružička has represented Slovakia at various levels, including youth and senior national teams. His contributions to the national team, particularly in international tournaments, have set the foundation for future generations of Slovak players.
