Adia Barnes, born on February 3, 1977, is a prominent American basketball player and coach. She gained recognition as a forward during her collegiate career at the University of Arizona, where she was a standout player from 1994 to 1998. Barnes was named an All-American and led the Wildcats to their first NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament appearance in 1997, propelling the program into national prominence.
Following her successful college career, Barnes was drafted by the WNBA in 1998 and played for several teams, including the Sacramento Monarchs and the Seattle Storm. Her professional career spanned over a decade, during which she was known for her versatile scoring ability and strong defensive skills.
