Adolph Wolgast, born on February 8, 1888, in Sandusky, Michigan, was a prominent American professional boxer known for his tenacity in the ring and his remarkable boxing career during the early 20th century. Wolgast began his boxing journey in the lightweight division and quickly established himself as a formidable competitor, capturing the World Lightweight Championship in 1910 after defeating the reigning champion, Frankie Youl, in a hard-fought match.
