Adriano Leite Ribeiro, known simply as Adriano, was born on February 17, 1982, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He began his professional career with the Brazilian club Flamengo, where he quickly showcased his powerful playing style and goal-scoring ability. After a successful stint at Flamengo, Adriano moved to Europe, signing with Inter Milan in 2001, where he developed into one of the most feared strikers in football.
