Al Armstrong is a retired American professional basketball player, recognized for his remarkable career in both the National Basketball Association (NBA) and overseas. Born on July 15, 1985, in Chicago, Illinois, he attended the University of Illinois, where he earned All-American honors during his junior season. Following a successful collegiate career, Armstrong was selected in the second round of the 2007 NBA Draft by the Boston Celtics.
