Al Iafrate, born on March 21, 1966, in Dearborn, Michigan, is a former professional ice hockey defenseman known for his powerful shot and offensive prowess. He played junior hockey with the Michigan State Spartans before being selected fourth overall in the 1984 NHL Entry Draft by the Boston Bruins. Iafrate quickly established himself in the NHL, showcasing a remarkable ability to contribute offensively from the blue line.
During his NHL career, Iafrate played for several teams, including the Boston Bruins, Hartford Whalers, Washington Capitals, and the San Jose Sharks.
