Al Montoya, born on February 13, 1985, in Chicago, Illinois, is a retired American professional ice hockey goaltender. Drafted 6th overall by the New York Rangers in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, Montoya made a name for himself in the junior leagues, particularly with the University of Michigan's hockey program, where he helped lead the team to the Frozen Four in 2003.
