Alan Autry, born on July 31, 1952, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is a former American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) during the 1970s and early 1980s. He played college football at the University of the Pacific, where he demonstrated notable athletic abilities that eventually led him to be selected in the 3rd round of the 1975 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers. Autry also had stints with the New Orleans Saints and the Atlanta Falcons during his professional career.
During his time in the NFL, Autry is perhaps best known for his role with the Atlanta Falcons, where he served as a backup quarterback.
