Alan Faneca, born on December 7, 1976, in Killeen, Texas, is a former professional American football player who played as an offensive guard in the National Football League (NFL). Faneca played college football at Louisiana State University (LSU), where he was recognized for his outstanding performances and earned consensus All-American honors in 1996. He was selected in the first round of the 1998 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers, marking the start of a distinguished 13-year career.
During his tenure with the Steelers from 1998 to 2007, Faneca was a key contributor to the team's success, including their victory in Super Bowl XL in 2006.
