Alan Knott, born on April 9, 1946, in London, England, is a former English cricket player renowned for his exceptional skills as a wicketkeeper-batsman. He made his first-class debut for Kent County Cricket Club in 1963 and quickly established himself as one of the leading cricketers of his era. Over his 16-year international career, Knott earned 95 Test caps for England, where he became celebrated for his innovative wicketkeeping techniques and solid batting performances.
Knott made significant contributions to England's success, including being part of the team that won the Ashes series in 1975 and 1977.
