Alan May, born on January 14, 1965, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, is a former professional ice hockey player known for his tenacity and physical style of play. Drafted 94th overall by the Washington Capitals in the 1983 NHL Entry Draft, May played as a left winger in the National Hockey League (NHL) for several teams, including the Capitals, the New York Rangers, and the Edmonton Oilers. He made his NHL debut in the 1985-86 season and accumulated a total of 262 regular-season games in the league over the course of his career.
