Biography
Alec Clarke (February 11, 1904 – date of death unknown) was a prominent English cricketer known for his contributions as a right-handed batsman and a right-arm fast bowler. He made his first-class debut for Sussex in 1923 and quickly established himself as a key player in the team. Over his career, he played in a total of 197 first-class matches, accumulating over 6,000 runs and taking more than 300 wickets.
Clarke's most significant achievement came while representing Sussex, where he played in the 1929 County Championship-winning side. His all-round abilities were particularly notable during the late 1920s and early 1930s, earning him recognition as one of the leading players in county cricket.
