Alex Tanguay is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player born on November 21, 1979, in Sainte-Justine, Quebec. He was selected 12th overall by the Colorado Avalanche in the first round of the 1998 NHL Entry Draft and quickly established himself as a skilled winger known for his playmaking abilities and offensive contributions.
