Alexander Vasyunov is a Russian former professional ice hockey player born on April 22, 1988, in Krasnoyarsk, Russia. A skilled forward, he began his career in the Russian junior leagues before being drafted into the National Hockey League (NHL) by the New Jersey Devils in the 3rd round of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. Vasyunov made his professional debut in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) and quickly gained recognition for his offensive abilities and playmaking skills.
In the NHL, Vasyunov marked his presence by appearing in 28 games for the New Jersey Devils during the 2009-2010 season, where he recorded 5 points. After his stint in the NHL, he continued his career in the KHL, playing for notable teams such as Avangard Omsk and Vityaz Podolsk.
