Alexei Anisimov, born on April 15, 1984, in Bryansk, Russia, is a former professional ice hockey player known for his skillful play as a forward. Anisimov began his career in the junior leagues of Russia, quickly making a name for himself with his impressive scoring ability and ice awareness. He gained international recognition after being drafted by the New York Rangers in the second round of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
During his NHL career, which spanned from 2008 to 2018, Anisimov played for several teams, including the New York Rangers, Columbus Blue Jackets, and Chicago Blackhawks. One of his notable achievements came in the 2015-2016 season with the Chicago Blackhawks when he contributed to the team's depth scoring, helping them secure the Stanley Cup.
