Alexei Semenov, born on April 10, 1981, in Omsk, Russia, is a former professional ice hockey defenseman recognized for his time in the National Hockey League (NHL) and in various international competitions. Semenov began his career with the Avangard Omsk, where he showcased his skills before being selected in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft by the Edmonton Oilers in the second round, 36th overall.
