Amy Gillett was an Australian cyclist born on January 9, 1976, in Adelaide, South Australia. She began her cycling career in the late 1990s and quickly made a name for herself in the national cycling circuit. Gillett became a key member of the Australian national team, representing her country in various international competitions, including world championships and the Olympic Games.

Throughout her career, Gillett achieved numerous accolades, including multiple national championships in road cycling and track racing. She was particularly noted for her performance in individual time trials and was a medal contender at the 2002 Commonwealth Games, where she earned a silver medal in the team pursuit event.
