Andre Tippett, born on December 27, 1959, in Birmingham, Alabama, is a former professional American football player who gained prominence as a linebacker in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at the University of Iowa, where he earned recognition for his exceptional defensive skills and was selected in the second round of the 1982 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots.
