Andrei Markov, born on December 20, 1978, in Voronezh, Russia, is a prominent Canadian ice hockey player renowned for his defensive prowess and playmaking ability. He was drafted 162nd overall by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft and quickly established himself as a key figure on the team's blue line.
