Biography
Andrew "Andy" Farrell, born on May 30, 1975, in Wigan, England, is a retired professional rugby league player and current rugby union coach. Farrell began his rugby league career with Wigan Warriors, where he made his debut in 1993 and quickly established himself as a standout player. Over the course of his rugby league career, he won numerous accolades, including the prestigious Man of Steel award in 1996 and multiple Super League titles, solidifying his status as one of the sport’s elite players.
In 2004, Farrell transitioned to rugby union, joining Saracens and later representing England at both the club and international levels. His versatility and leadership on the field were evident during his time in rugby union, where he earned 10 caps for the England national team and contributed to their success in the 2007 Rugby World Cup. Farrell's performances were instrumental in helping to bridge the gap between the two codes of rugby, showcasing his exceptional skills and adaptability.
Following his retirement from playing, Farrell took on coaching roles, including serving as the defense coach for the England rugby union team.
