Andy Irvine, born on September 16, 1951, in Bury, England, is a renowned former rugby union player who represented Scotland at the international level. He played as a fullback and is celebrated for his contributions to the sport during the 1970s and 1980s. Irvine began his professional career with the Scottish club Edinburgh Academicals before moving to play for the prestigious London-based club, London Scottish.
