Andy Katzenmoyer, born on December 2, 1977, in Toledo, Ohio, is a former professional American football linebacker. He gained prominence as a standout player during his college career at Ohio State University, where he was a key component of the Buckeyes' defense. His exceptional performance led to multiple accolades, including being named the Big Ten Conference Defensive Player of the Year in 1997.
Katzenmoyer was selected by the New England Patriots in the first round of the 1999 NFL Draft, illustrating his high regard among NFL scouts. During his time with the Patriots, he became known for his aggressive playing style and ability to read opposing offenses, contributing significantly to the team's defensive unit. In his rookie season, he started in all 16 games and showcased his talent, solidifying his place in the NFL.
