Andrew “Andy” Roberts, born on January 29, 1951, in St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda, is a former Australian cricketer renowned for his exceptional fast bowling. He made his Test debut for Australia in 1973 and quickly established himself as a key player in the national team. Over his career, he was renowned for his athleticism and ability to generate sheer pace, which contributed significantly to Australia's success during the 1970s and early 1980s.
Roberts was a pivotal member of the Australian cricket team that won the Ashes series, and he holds the distinction of being one of the first fast bowlers to regularly exceed the 150 km/h mark.
