Biography
Aeneas Williams is a former professional American football player who played as a cornerback and safety in the National Football League (NFL). Born on January 29, 1968, in New Orleans, Louisiana, he played college football at Southern University before being drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the third round of the 1991 NFL Draft. Williams enjoyed a successful career spanning 14 seasons, primarily with the Cardinals and later with the New Orleans Saints.
During his time in the NFL, Williams was recognized as one of the premier defensive backs in the league. He was selected to the Pro Bowl five times and was named a First-Team All-Pro twice. Notably, Williams recorded 55 career interceptions and is ranked among the top ten players in NFL history for interceptions returned for touchdowns, solidifying his reputation as a game-changing defender.
