Anju Bobby George, born on April 19, 1977, in Changanacherry, Kerala, India, is a distinguished Indian athlete, recognized for her remarkable achievements in long jump and triple jump events. She gained international prominence after winning the bronze medal at the 2003 World Championships in Athletics held in Paris, making her the first Indian woman to secure a medal at a global athletics championship. Her outstanding performance in the long jump has established her as one of the leading figures in Indian athletics.
