Anson Carter, born on June 6, 1974, in Bellyard, Ontario, Canada, is a former professional ice hockey player known for his scoring ability and versatility on the ice. Carter played junior hockey for the Kingston Frontenacs in the Ontario Hockey League before being selected in the 6th round of the 1992 NHL Entry Draft by the Quebec Nordiques. Throughout his NHL career, which spanned from 1996 to 2007, he played for several teams, including the Boston Bruins, Edmonton Oilers, New York Rangers, and the Carolina Hurricanes.
Carter is perhaps best known for his time with the Vancouver Canucks during the 2005-2006 season, where he recorded a career-high 33 goals and helped propel the team to the playoffs.
