Arthur Morris was an Australian cricketer, born on January 19, 1922, in Sydney, Australia. A left-handed batsman, he made his first-class debut for New South Wales in 1940 at the age of 18. Morris rose to prominence after World War II, becoming a key player for the Australian national team and earning selection for the 1948 "Invincibles" tour of England.
Throughout his international career, which spanned from 1946 to 1958, Morris was known for his elegant batting style and consistency, amassing over 3,300 Test runs at an average of 46.48. He achieved notable success against major rivals, including a career-best score of 196 against England at Melbourne in 1947.
