Arthur Wint (born May 25, 1920) was a distinguished Jamaican athlete known for his exceptional achievements in middle-distance running. He gained prominence as a member of the Jamaican national team during the 1940s, particularly excelling in the 400 meters. Wint made history as a gold medalist in the 4x400 meter relay at the 1948 London Olympics, where he also secured a silver medal in the individual 400 meters event.

Wint's athletic career continued with notable performances at the Pan American Games and British Empire Games, where he contributed significantly to Jamaica's growing reputation in track and field. In 1949, he became the first Jamaican to break the 47-second barrier in the 400 meters, setting a new national record.
