Basit Ali, born on December 13, 1970, in Karachi, Pakistan, is a former international cricketer who represented the Pakistan national team from 1991 to 1998. An accomplished right-handed batsman, he was known for his elegant stroke play and solid technique. Basit made his Test debut against New Zealand in 1991 and went on to play 19 Test matches, scoring 1,005 runs, including three centuries and four fifties.
