Beilby Lawley, 3rd Baron Wenlock, was born on May 12, 1849, in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. He was an accomplished cricketer who played for several prominent clubs during the late 19th century. Known for his right-handed batting and right-arm medium bowling, Lawley's contributions to the sport were significant in his era.
Lawley made his first-class cricket debut in 1868 and went on to play for the prestigious Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) and various other county teams.
