Bert Rechichar, born on July 16, 1930, was an American football player who played as a defensive back in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at the University of Maryland, where he gained recognition for his prowess on the field. Rechichar was selected by the Baltimore Colts in the sixth round of the 1952 NFL Draft.
During his professional career, Rechichar played primarily for the Baltimore Colts and became known for his versatility and defensive skills. He was part of the Colts team that won the NFL Championship in 1958, a game famously known as "The Greatest Game Ever Played," which helped to popularize the NFL across the United States.
