Betty Stöve, born on June 24, 1945, in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, is a former professional tennis player known for her contributions to the sport during the 1970s. She achieved considerable success in both singles and doubles formats, securing her place among the top players of her era. Stöve was particularly recognized for her powerful serve and competitive spirit on the court.
Throughout her career, Stöve reached the semifinals of the French Open in 1977 and was a finalist at Wimbledon in 1977, where she became the first Dutch woman to reach the championship match. In doubles, she claimed multiple Grand Slam titles, including victories at the French Open in 1971 and the Australian Open in 1972, alongside her partner, the legendary American player, Ilana Kloss.
