Bill Hill, born on April 21, 1959, is a former American football player who gained recognition as a defensive back in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at the University of Maryland, where he established himself as a standout athlete, earning All-American honors in his senior year. Hill was selected in the 5th round of the 1981 NFL Draft by the New York Jets.
Throughout his NFL career, Hill played a total of seven seasons, mainly with the Jets, and later with the San Diego Chargers.
