Bill Maney is a former professional basketball player known for his exceptional skills as a shooting guard. Born on March 15, 1985, in Chicago, Illinois, he rose to prominence during his collegiate career at the University of Illinois, where he was a standout performer. Maney led the team to multiple NCAA tournament appearances and earned All-American honors in his senior year, solidifying his reputation as one of the top prospects entering the 2007 NBA Draft.
After being selected in the second round of the draft by the Atlanta Hawks, Maney quickly made an impact in the league with his scoring ability and defensive prowess. Over his career, he played for several teams, including the Miami Heat and the New Jersey Nets, amassing career averages of 15.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game.
