Bill Stanfill, born on January 13, 1947, in Cairo, Georgia, is a former professional American football player who gained prominence as a defensive end in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at the University of Georgia, where he earned All-American honors in 1968. Stanfill was selected by the Miami Dolphins in the second round of the 1969 NFL Draft, becoming an integral part of the team’s renowned defense.
During his career, which spanned from 1969 to 1976, Stanfill was known for his remarkable athleticism and strong play on the defensive line.
