Bill Stranahan is a former professional basketball player known for his impactful career in the sport during the late 1970s and early 1980s. Born in 1955 in Springfield, Massachusetts, Stranahan emerged as a standout guard at the University of Massachusetts, where he was recognized for his scoring ability and defensive prowess. After college, Stranahan was selected in the third round of the 1977 NBA Draft by the New York Knicks.
