Billy Howton (July 5, 1930 – March 19, 2023) was an American football wide receiver who played in the National Football League (NFL) primarily for the Green Bay Packers and the Cleveland Browns during the 1950s and 1960s. Howton was known for his exceptional speed and route-running ability, which helped him become one of the league's premier receivers of his time. He played college football at Rice University, where he earned All-American honors before being selected by the Packers in the second round of the 1952 NFL Draft.
During his NFL career, Howton recorded significant statistics, including leading the league in receiving yards in 1952. He made a notable contribution to the Packers, emerging as a key target for quarterback Bart Starr and helping the team secure their first NFL Championship in 1961.
