Bob Avery is a former professional American football player, known for his tenure as a linebacker in the National Football League (NFL) during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Born on March 15, 1965, in Tallahassee, Florida, Avery showcased exceptional athleticism at Florida State University, where he played college football and earned All-American honors. He was selected in the third round of the 1987 NFL Draft by the Washington Redskins.
