Bob Baumhower, born on August 4, 1955, in New York City, is a former professional American football player known for his role as a defensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at the University of Alabama, where he was a standout performer under renowned coach Bear Bryant. Baumhower was selected in the second round of the 1977 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins.
During his NFL career, Baumhower played primarily with the Miami Dolphins, from 1977 to 1986, and later joined the New England Patriots for the 1986 season.
