Biography
Bob Froese is a former professional ice hockey goaltender from Canada, born on June 30, 1958. He played junior hockey with the Toronto Marlboros before being drafted 36th overall by the New York Rangers in the 1980 NHL Entry Draft. Froese made his NHL debut with the Rangers during the 1982-83 season, quickly establishing himself as a talented goalie with impressive reflexes and a strong work ethic.
Froese's most productive years came while he was with the Philadelphia Flyers, where he played from 1984 to 1987. He had a standout season in 1985-86, earning a spot in the NHL All-Star Game and posting a goals-against average of 3.40.
