Bob Griese is a former professional American football quarterback, born on February 3, 1945, in Evansville, Indiana. He played college football at Purdue University, where he was recognized as one of the top quarterbacks in the nation and earned All-American honors. Griese was selected by the Miami Dolphins with the fourth overall pick in the 1967 NFL Draft.
Throughout his 14-season career with the Dolphins, Griese became a pivotal figure in the team's success, leading them to three Super Bowl appearances and securing victory in Super Bowl VIII and Super Bowl VII, the latter of which culminated in the Dolphins' historic perfect season in 1972.
