Biography
Bob Rife is a former professional basketball player known for his exceptional skills as a guard. Born on January 15, 1985, in Springfield, Illinois, Rife rose to prominence at Springfield High School, where he led his team to a state championship and received numerous accolades, including All-State honors. He went on to play college basketball at the University of Illinois, where he averaged 16.4 points and 5.2 assists per game, earning All-Big Ten Conference recognition during his senior year.
Rife entered the 2007 NBA Draft and was selected in the second round by the Chicago Bulls. Over his six-year professional career, he played for the Bulls, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Atlanta Hawks, showcasing his prowess as a sharpshooter and tenacious defender. In 2009, Rife had a standout season, contributing significantly to his team’s playoff run and establishing himself as a key role player, ultimately averaging 12.7 points per game in the postseason.
