Biography
Bobby Lalonde, born on March 27, 1951, in Saint-Eustache, Quebec, is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey winger known for his dynamic playing style and scoring ability. He played junior hockey with the Montreal Junior Canadiens before being selected in the first round, 16th overall, by the Detroit Red Wings in the 1971 NHL Amateur Draft. Lalonde began his professional career in the National Hockey League (NHL) during the 1971-72 season and went on to compete with several teams over a decade-long career, including the New York Rangers and the Minnesota North Stars.
Throughout his NHL career, Lalonde achieved notable success, recording over 400 points in regular-season play. He gained recognition for his offensive contributions and was particularly impactful during the late 1970s, often ranking among his team's top scorers.
