Brent Grimes, born on July 19, 1983, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is a former professional American football player who played as a cornerback in the National Football League (NFL). After a standout college career at the University of Shippensburg, where he earned All-American honors, Grimes went undrafted in the 2006 NFL Draft but was signed by the Atlanta Falcons. He quickly established himself as a premier defensive player, earning his first Pro Bowl selection in 2010.
Grimes spent six seasons with the Falcons, during which he recorded a notable 17 interceptions and solidified his reputation for playmaking ability and coverage skills.
