Brett Maher, born on November 21, 1989, in Kearney, Nebraska, is an American football placekicker known for his strong leg and accuracy. He attended the University of Iowa, where he played college football for the Iowa Hawkeyes. After going undrafted in the 2013 NFL Draft, Maher began his professional career in the Canadian Football League (CFL) with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers before returning to the NFL.
In 2018, Maher signed with the Dallas Cowboys, where he made an immediate impact by establishing himself as a reliable kicker.
